NEET Reschedules due to COVID 19 Pandemic : The Covd-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down. All businesses and institutions have been affected and the education sector is no exception. Schools, colleges and universities are closed and classes are being conducted online as much as possible. Examinations have been postponed almost everywhere. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has also suffered from a similar fate.
NEET was supposed to start from 2012, but it actually began from the next year. It came after the AIPMT and students wishing to study MBBS or BDS in any government or private college in India have to clear it.
The NEET (UG) 2020 has been postponed from its earlier date of 03.05.2020 (Sunday) to 26.07.2020 (Sunday). Examination timing is from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM. The examination is run by an autonomous organization under the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. They issued a notice regarding this change in date on 27.03.2020. The decision was announced after the central government announced the first phase of national lockdown, lasting 21 days.
Students who are appearing for the examination will be able to download the admit cards with their roll number printed from two websites:
• Official website of the NTA (www.nta.ac.in)
• Official website of NEET(UG)-2020 (ntaneet.nic.in)
